MoNDi set out to create something that feels like it has wandered out of a Persian fairytale: part creature, part guardian, part dream.
Inspired by the pomegranate, Persian ornamentation and the mythical worlds the artist grew up surrounded by, Rāz-e Anār is MoNDi's own imagined take on an ancient visual language. The lion becomes a protector of the pomegranate: a symbol of life, abundance and the stories we carry with us.
It’s a piece about the magic hidden in our roots, and the beauty of making something ancient feel completely your own.
