Inspired by the Loop logo and the idea of a continuous cycle suggested by the word “loop.” Turning something that would normally be thrown away into an artwork, including the material itself in the idea of repetition and reuse.
Hells Gibson cut up the original Loop box and rearranged its shapes to create a new composition. The two larger pink sections mirror each other, while the smaller piece in the centre connects them with the word “AND.” Together, the words form “ROUND AND ROUND,” reinforcing the idea of looping, repetition and continuous movement.
“The work is about cycles, repetition and recycling. I am responding to both the visual identity of the brand and the physical life of the box. Something designed as disposable packaging is given another purpose, creating its own kind of loop.” - Hells Gibson
