This painting continues a theme Nazaraptor returns to often: winged koi fish flying high in the sky. The artist is inspired by dreams, daydreaming and the idea of escapism.
Growing up in a built-up, urban city, Nazaraptor came to really appreciate the sky. It was the one thing that always remained wide and open.
In the Koi Story series, the colour palette of the sky changes depending on the artist's mood, while the koi fish remain true to their original colours. Each painting is created using a combination of spray paint and a very tiny brush to add the fine details.
