Aneta Pochatko has been working with magnolias as part of an ongoing theme of personal development, so their blooming forms represent growth and the hope that we keep expanding. The crow is the artist's recurring motif for inner dialogue, freedom and the thoughts that shape how we move forward. The artist peeled and cut into the cardboard to let its natural texture guide the composition, revealing layers underneath.
