This artwork was made by instinctively choosing the collage materials that spoke to Becky McG on the subject of Municipal nature – the flowers, leaves and weeds that break through the pavement in cities, flourishing and dotting the streets despite the fact it's harder to survive there. The artist was inspired by the way nature continues to persevere – and always finds a way – in places that destroy it on purpose. Recently, Becky McG has been playing with the language of road signs to create nature. Elements used to create this piece include paint skin, record sleeves and Letraset.
